Part 3 … The view from my window …
The family continue to hang around the Centre building, with the male usually dozing on the window ledge, the female in her favourite spot in the corner under the roof . . . and the chicks sheltering amongst the foliage on the parapet.
Yesterday evening we were entertained by the antics of the chicks as they practiced their hunting skills on a variety of objects on the roof – leaves, a twig . . . and even a regurgitated pellet. After the ‘pounce’, the chicks nibbled their ‘prey’ hopefully before discarding it and moving on to the next item that caught their attention. Wonderful stuff!
