‘The Two Stooges’
Since the loss of one of the chicks, things have continued pretty much as before – with the remaining two chicks spending most of the day on the lower roof outside the kitchen window, and the female joining them in the evenings. They are rapidly moulting into adult plumage and are spending a lot of time preening and scratching – in between bouts of dozing and alertly watching anything moving around, or above them. They still seem very relaxed however and I still have no idea what caused the one chick’s death – but at least all seems OK for now.
