Situation back to normal . . .
On the day that the female produced the first egg of this season, she has gone back to her behaviour of previous breeding seasons.
At 17:45 she left the nest to ‘chill’ on the roof outside my study window. I carefully climbed out, talking quietly to her, and then waited to try and photograph her if she decided to fly. After a while she moved up onto one of the air ducts – and I managed to snap this shot, luckily just capturing her eye over the top of her right wing.
Note, I’ve edited the photo to remove the distracting background.
