Hordes of crows . . . and a friendly (?) warning
This morning the crows were back in full force – with over 40 marauding through the park. I heard cawing from owl nest box . . . and headed for the roof. Three crows took off from the wall above the box, flushing even more from around the nest box. Up the ladder . . . and there was male on the roof of the nest, and the female was lying hunkered down in the box.
The male gave a half-hearted ‘spread-wing’ threat display (nowhere near as impressive as yesterday) but then seemed to relax and settle down – the female barely opened her eyes!
