The latest owl chicks - September 2019
Three owls chicks

After two seasons – where our Spotted Eagle-Owls failed to breed because of the harassment from winter influxes of large numbers of Pied Crows, we finally have owl chicks in the nest box on the back of the tower. Together, the male and female managed to withstand and survive the attentions of the crows and successfully hatch three eggs. Thankfully, the chicks appear to be doing very well.

In the photograph, taken on 15 September 2019, the chicks range from about 14 to 16 days old.
