More slow progress . . .
Since my last update the owls have been carrying on as before, with the female flying down to her spot on the lower roof in the late afternoon and then dozing till dark. The male has only occasionally joined her, usually heading off into the park to hunt instead. Yesterday evening however they were both together on the lower roof just after 17:00 and I was able to take two pics of them together. The male was quite alert and active and seemed curious as to what I was up to, but the female barely opened her eyes – as usual. After a short period of “almost togetherness”, the male swooped off in the direction of the bird sanctuary.
