Nimrod . . . mighty hunter!
This morning there were the remains of a Vlei Rat, and also what looks like a dove in the nest with the female – so it looks like the male is keeping up with the growing demand for food.
The chicks are growing fast, but are still spending most of the day burrowed into the breast feathers of the female (the buffy down sticking out from under her feathers in the photo are the chicks).
